Important Info Regarding Snow Removal

We got feedback from Saco Island LP and need to make a few adjustments on our part to aid in the removal of snow from our parking lot. Also, anyone wishing to park at the top of the hill must register their vehicle with ITOA so we can provide a parking pass and your contact information to Saco Island LP. The lot at the top of the hill is not our property, nor is it public land. This parcel of real estate is owned by Saco Island LP and we park their at their leisure.

To obtain a parking permit please send the follwing info to Parking@Islandterrace.info:

Your Name:
Vehicle Make and Model:
Vehicle License Plate:
Unit Number:
Phone Number:
Method of distribution: (Would you like us to slide it under your door, would you like to arrange pick-up of the pass or would you like it mailed to you?)

The plow drivers report(Quoting from their e-mail):

First, ITA residents were not out of the lot until 10:45. This delayed clean up until after twelve noon. Folks cannot come down to move their cars at 10:00 a.m. and spend a half an hour cleaning their car off and then move it. The cars have to be out by 10:00 at the latest.

Second, cars were left in the upper parking lot. The more cars that remain in that lot, the less snow will be removed. We are avoiding towing, but there’s a limit. We will soon post a sign on that lot that will indicate that parking there is by permit only. Residents who utilize this lot must have an ITA parking sticker on their car to serve as a permit.

Third, the gate to the ITA lot needs to be kept in an open position during snow removal. (Not something residents have to worry about)

Fourth, parking in front of 110 Main Street during the parking ban is not an exercisable option. That lot must be kept clear to allow the trucks to move in and out. I’ve given permission for four people to park there during snow storms because of the impact of center lane plowing during storms. When the snow ban is in effect, they must also move their cars. (These four residents must have an ITA sticker on their window. ) Once the storm is over and the lot is clear, these folks need to use their assigned space so we can clear the front lot.
