With snow on the ground obscuring the lines and numbers that are painted on the blacktop, some people have been pulling into the wrong spots. Please try to use a landmark when pulling into your spot to align yourself properly. If you want to report a car just e-mail Parking@islandterrace.info or call R+E. We will do our best to assist you.
Also remember that under no circumstances may you leave your car unattended in the fire lane. Over the past few days several people have done this, and while it may seem that its just a moment to run into the house or to grab your mail, you are putting public safety at risk. Additionally, you cannot park in the traffic lane. It may seem like common sense, but there has already been an incident where someone parked in front of the building there and blocked a car in its spot and acted as a bottleneck between the parking area by the flats and the rest of the parking area.
And one last note, please make sure that you are familiar with and that your guests are familiar with the parking lot. A map will be printed and posted in lobby to help people. Last night two visitors parked in assigned spots. Had the owners of these units requested, these vehicles would have been towed.
